PUBLIC LIGHTING AND PROJECT paving the road inaugurated DEÇAN

With 8Nëntor Mayor of Decani, Tracey Jacobson, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo and Maureen Shaukat, Mission Director of USAID have inaugurated paving the way and setting the Public Lighting "Tower Mazrekaj" Centre for Tourism Drenoc / Drenovac project in Decan / Decani. After opening the inauguration of the President and the Ambassador, children in traditional dress gave a dance performance.
 
Municipality of Decan / Decani area population is multiethnic, and inherits a very rich culture and great tourism potential. However, the municipality lacked tourism opportunities and potential revenue because the road which leads to the center was unpaved and uneven, and there was no lighting and carrying potential tourists to visit the center. The municipality has recognized the importance of promoting tourism in Drenoc / Drenovac, and has included this project in the Action Plan to Improve Service (SIAP) for roads and public lighting. After the project implmentimit part that surrounds the center is transformed from a country with no good condition to renovate historic center, which will attract more tourists to the village and in other parts of Decan / Decani. The total project costs were. The USAID program has contributed DEMI (49%) and contributed Municipality (51%). The project has led to the asphalted road that leads to the center kalldërma (1,240 m2) and a set of LAMP eklektrike every 50 meters (approximately 50 light road).
